A chance meeting. A forgotten laptop. And a fashion magazine editor and illustrator meet again and find out they have their exes in common—and they make a revenge dating pact.

When heartbroken illustrator Cameron Daly tries to cold-pitch aloof fashion magazine editor Liam Walker at a party during London’s Fashion Week, it’s truly a disaster. Even so, there’s no denying the chemistry despite Liam and Cam butting heads. Their age gap means this can’t be more than a one-night hookup at best—until Cam forgets his laptop and portfolio behind. 

Then, they have no choice but to meet again and soon discover they might have more in common than they thought: their exes. They make a pact to call a truce to fake date at events where their exes will attend to prove they’ve both moved on—and make them jealous. Totally mature. Yet—it’s another excuse to be near Liam.

As Cam grows more confident in his illustration work and lands key client work, his attraction to Liam grows. It’s pointless, because Liam’s been very clear that this arrangement is purely business. And that Liam can’t stand Cam. And Cam can’t handle Liam. Two dates, and it’s over. Thank God. Never mind the practice date before.
